Forest Grimoire consists of VIII improvised fragments that were received the moment they were recorded – all right there in the woods. The birds, trees and winds play as much of a role as does the harp, and the resulting meditations are situated somewhere in between the realms of Animist Folklore, Dungeon Synth and Holy Minimalism.
A simple and pure reflection of internal witherings, inspired by medieval Minnesang’s subgenre of ‘Winterlieder’, personal scēawungs and dūst-scēawungs and Kittelsen’s Svartedauen.
