Common Eider King Eider, “Yearn”
Common Eider King Eider return to Cyclic Law with their 13th full length album entitled, Yearn. Since 2012, A.C. and B.S.s. have been crafting a unique aesthetic vision around modern composition, dark ambient, and black metal using voice, viola, percussion, and organic objects such as bone and antler to create a sonic world drenched in animism and project mythology. Yearn follows suit with five extended arrangements for viola, percussion, and voice. The pieces slowly unfold as if remembering a dream… Fragments move in and out of focus, light and darkness considered equals in the creation of this landscape. Concealment and revelation. Hope and hopelessness. Decay and birth.
With sonic visitations by Treha Sektori, Lars Ennsen (Ultha, Unru, Sun Worship) and Edie.
This release is a collaboration between Breath Sun Bone Blood and Cyclic Law.
CD edition of 300. Packaging in oversized 6 panel gatefold. Duotone printing entirely in black and metallic green on ultra matte stock. Horned God and title depicted in clear spot varnish.
Curse All Kings, “Inversion”
Curse All Kings return with their second full length, entitled Inversion with four extended arrangements for viola, organ and voice. Drawing from modern composition, black metal, the darkest and bleakest of dungeon synth and transcendent drone, Inversion redefines the concept of dark ambient and ritualized music and opens up new avenues of listener immersion and hence revelation. Skeletal compositions draped with dreamlike improvisations disorient the participants in black fog and suffocate them invoking the smell of damp rotting earth. Intended for dark moon listening and ritual. Intended for both group and solo practice of Inversion rites.
CD edition of 300. Packaging is oversized A5 gatefold, ultra matte finish. 12 page booklet insert on ultra matte stock. This release is a collaboration between Breath Sun Bone Blood, and Cyclic Law.
Night Beheaded “Enter Earth”
And Uncover Strange Worlds Within (Early Album Stream)
Rising to meet the new dawn is Night Beheaded, an entity born from the ritualistic veils of the forest and one which lives in the transient glow of the coming day and the starlit pathways of the night. Originally from Oakland and now living in Berlin, sole member B.S.s. (Common Eider, King Eider and Curse All Kings) showcases ambient soundscapes heard on their other projects as well as injecting the cold, swirling winds of black metal into Enter Earth and its five immersive tracks. Routing Night Beheaded through jarring guitars and vocals that echo from the otherworld, the band’s debut is a stark and self-reflective journey into the darkness that seeks the glimmers of hope that lie tantalizingly out of reach.
“I” begins this voyage into the unknown through haunting gales and a voice distorted by time and energy. B.S.s. breathes life into Enter Earth via stirring guitars, rich organs and a spirited vocal delivery that encompasses heady screams and breathy incantations. As the album moves forward, we hear folkier elements in “II” and its gentle opening that belies the aggression soon to follow. Night Beheaded filter their pain through cyclic riffs that rise with potent grief, and where the album could tip over into wallowing, it turns to ambient textures to divine a new way of thinking. “III” and “IV” both use these structures to different but no less jolting effect, and as the tones of “VV” heed the coming end, Night Beheaded inhale the aura of magick and exhale the agony of the past, as if to change the future.
CD and cassette release date March 4th!
Preorders start February 4th.
Night Beheaded’s debut offering, Enter Earth, refines avant grade approaches in Black Metal and restructures it into a truly psychedelic and pummeling aural experience that leaves the listener no option but to submit. Feauturing B.S.s. (Common Eider King Eider, Curse All Kings) whose bleak and sorrow filled compositions have graced labels such as Sentient Ruin, Consouling Sound, Cyclic Law, and Cold Spring, the mood shifts from the stark desperate ambient atmospheres of his previous projects to a relentless and terrifying aural assault. Harrowing, trance inducing atmospheric black metal to draw you into the darkest forest.
Mastered at Spirit Cave by L. Ennsen. Limited edition CD in 350 gram uncoated gatefold, black inside pocket flood, edition of 100. Limited edition cassette of 50.
Night Beheaded Track Premiere!
Enter Earth, “Milk of the Wild”
Thank you “Antifascist Black Metal Network” for this lovely track premiere.
“Today’s upload brings a storm of ice and snow to our channel! “Milk of the Wild” is the single for Night Beheaded debut, “Enter Earth”, out on the Breath Sun Bone Blood label on March 4th, and it brings a lot of the raw, freezing riffage of atmospheric black metal along with impressively hostile ambient moments – it’s like an evil younger sibling to WITTR or Falls of Rauros, almost droning in its intensity. Night Beheaded shows great promise from this song, and we can’t wait to hear the full album!“
Lingering Echoes “Perdues”
Starts shipping today, February 26th 2022
French musical legend Yan Arexis returns with the beautifully executed minimalist electronic foray, “Perdues” by Lingering Echoes. Arexis’s contributions to the French black metal scene with Sus Scrofa, and experimental music scene with IHAN date back to the late 80’s, and his current projects Stille Volke, Coume Oaurnede, Faction Senestre, and his impeccable curation of the L’homme Sauvage Festival, continue to remain vital and daring contributions in their respective genres. “Perdues” by Lingering Echoes offers a cold and desolate landscape of minimalist electronics mixed with electro acoustic experimentation. Beautiful and fragile… Hopeless and bleak.
Kluizenaer Album Premiere!
“Ein Abbild der Leere”
Thank you “Antifascist Black Metal Network” for this lovely album premiere.
“We’re proud to present the long awaited sophomore album from Kluizenaer, this promising German band that for sure turned a lot of eyes into their direction when their latest EP was uploaded in our channel some months ago and of course by their participation into our compilation, Black Metal Ist Klassenkrieg, in which they debuted a track from the album. For those that heard this track and were holding their expectations high, be assured: you will absolutely not be dissapointed, as Ein Abbild der Leere is like a massive, thick stone of black metal and dark ambience that will fall into your unsuspecting ears.
Kluizenaer Track Premiere!
From the upcoming Album “Ein Abbild der Leere”.
